I'm new to Lisa Jewel and was hoping to enjoy this as much as I enjoyed The Night She Disappeared but I thought this book was just fine. The first half of the story was extremely slow and I understand we are getting backstory on all the characters, but I didn't really find the characters that interesting besides the one we weren't supposed to like. I did think the second half of the book really picked up once we got into the mystery and all the information we got in the beginning was starting to make more sense. I did like the police interviews that were throughout the story and I didn't mind getting all the different POV's because we got to see everything unfold through a different person's eyes. The final twist was fine. I just wish I could have been more shocked with this one because I liked to be surprised with the twists in the mysteries that I read. The twist made sense and I honestly agreed with what this particular character did (not that I promote violence lol). Overall this was okay and I still intend to pick up more from this author.
