The King's General by Daphne du Maurier

4.0

Now that I've read this, I include Gartred among Rebecca and Rachel, du Maurier's other captivating characters of dubious morality. I wish there were MORE if Gartred in this book, as I found her the most interesting character in this book.

Unlike the other du Maurier books I've read (Rebecca and My Cousin Rachel), this one does not have the same dramatic plot twist. However, I still found it enjoyable between the Gothic hidden chamber and the intricate relationships between the characters.
