I like the Detective Lynley series in general. The story line here is compelling g and kept me interested. However, I'd say I was able to skip over about 1/4 of the last few chapters because of the unnecessary detail about the weather, the driving conditions, the howling of the wind. I get why this detail was included, and toward the end of the book it was just noise that got in the way of the conclusion. It was a clunky ending in my opinion. Still worth the read.
