Believe Me by Tahereh Mafi

2.0

I didn’t want to waste my time writing a review for this but guess who did anyway? While reading Believe Me, a huge fraction of me wanted to press ctrl+c and delete many of the book’s unnecessary chapters.

The book starts with Warner describing how white a wall is, and how white is truly never white because white is mixed with yellow. Still, the wall he was staring at was so white it seemed blue, so he had been looking at it for 37 minutes— CHUCK THIS USELESS PARAGRAPH INTO THE TRASH TAHEREH, it has got nothing to do with the story.

Warner is not what this series has reduced him to, he was never a DOG constantly demanding love and attention, he was always so much more than that. This is not who we fell in love with. WARNER WOULD NEVER—
The characters in this series were fire but the author reduced them to embers, for what? To stretch the story and get more sales?
It’s a book that started with selfless love and ended with an extremely self-induced toxic one, Kenji Kishimoto being the only star of the show who kept this boat afloat, while everything else disappointed me.

2/5 stars (2 stars for Kenji and Kenji only) You should’ve stopped at Ignite Me, you just should have stopped girl.
