Parenting from the Inside Out: How a Deeper Self-Understanding Can Help You Raise Children Who Thrive: 10th Anniversary Edition by Mary Hartzell, Daniel J. Siegel

4.0

This book was incredibly insightful for me in understanding how to handle certain parenting situations, and why I react the way I do sometimes. In my ongoing journey to work through my childhood trauma, this was a read recommended by my therapist and I put its recommendations into practice daily. I would give it five stars but I did find parts of it - particularly some of the science sections - incredibly difficult to process during opportunities I have to read (bedtime, etc). I found myself having to read some passages more than once to understand them.
