Tbh, I didn’t understand the stakes here. There wasn’t really that much of reason for them to avoid pursuing anything between them so adamantly? 

I enjoyed this for a lot of it, but eventually it started to drag. I read on audiobook at 3x speed so I had no problem pushing on, but if I’d read with my eyeballs I may have DNF’d when it started to drag. 

ETA: this is one 3rd act breakup from Liese that I can understand. But man does she love to write them 😅
