What a waste of time.

Not only was the narrative difficult to read due to the annoying nuances of an apparent 5 yr old (that is inconsistent btw), but all of it evoked no emotion or feeling from me but frustration at how silly it all was.

What should have been a gut wrenching tale of some being kidnapped, raped, and then having to come to “reality” and deal with trauma- this book does nothing.

Understandably, writing in a 5 year olds POV can be challenging , but if you’re not up for the task, just don’t do it. How can he (Jack) seem to be intelligent at some points but babble like an infant in others.

Perhaps it’s because I’ve read/seen enough true crime stories like Rooms plot that I did not find this story at all engaging and just cliche and predictable…. Or perhaps it’s just crappy writing.
