The Indian Bride, by Karin Fossum

3.0

May contain spoilers!!
I enjoyed this mystery. It was a fast and simple read. The characters all had their own secrets and while it was difficult at times to keep up with all the names that were very similar the story had an overall appeal to it. Based in a Norwegian countryside The Indian Bride is quite depressing at times and does lack in some areas. Like what actually happened to his sister? Who actually was the killer? What smooth (bowling ball/ weight shaped object) could've been used? Who drove the car that sped past Gunther? So many unanswered questions.

Some of the characters were odd and had no personality.
The detective work was a shot in the dark.

The silence is shattered by the barking of a dog. The mother looks up from the sink and stares out of the window. The barking comes from deep in the dog's throat. All of its black, muscular body quivers with excitement.
