In The Alchemist, like we all know a traveler thinks about his existence and history and works on his spiritual development but then a mysterious man shows up who teaches him a real lesson in life. Similarly this sort of thing happens in MFIA book. As the title of this book suggests, the author has provided some historical facts with references. This book is more like a collection of fables and each chapter teaches us something valuable.

To a reader who is greatly interested in exploring his spirituality, this book is really precious. Paulo Coelho is the voice of spirituality in some ways.

The setting of this offering by Paulo Coelho is in Jerusalem. The date is July,14,1099. Most of the inhabitants of the city at this time practice 3 religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The city was facing an invasion by French crusaders. The only option is running away or fighting till death. People who are vexed by the uncertainty of the situation gather around a wise Greek man who is known as the Copt. When the people of every age, gender and faith have gathered there then a series of questions by people and the revealing answers by the Copt follows there. Many of them asked about what will happen next day but other ask about some different topics such as love, disappointment, fear, fortune, success and life purpose. The Copt then tells smart things about these questions with his spiritual insight.

MFIA book is an exploration of everyday wisdom and joy. In Paulo Coelho signature style this short volume offers inspiration, solace and encouragement to enrich one's life.

Although every single line of this book carries wisdom but my most favorite line from this book which actually talks about beauty and self-confidence is as follow:

"We stop being the moonlight and become, instead, the pool of water reflecting it."

You can read this no matter from which faith you belong. Choose this book when you need the best kind of motivation and also need to recharge yourself. It's short and easy to understand. It contains the essence of life
