The Tao of Pooh, by Benjamin Hoff

2.0

The book seemed charming enough at first with all its illustrations and the idea of Winnie the Pooh and Taoism together seemed interesting. But that's all there is to the book. It's gimmicky and tells us nothing new. It was hard for me to realize that the best parts of this book were the quotes/extracts from other works.

Anything that the author himself writes is mediocre at best. What's with all the science bashing? Knowledge is unnecessary? I'm pretty sure that's not what Taoism implies. I'll have to find out for myself. Even if it does, this book still reads like a high schooler's essay.
