 This book was really good! It was perfectly dark and beautifully written. There was a lot of description though, maybe a bit too much at times, especially when you just wanted the story to move on.

Mrs de Winter's character developed so much throughout the novel and during her time at Manderley, you couldn't help but feel for her. I'm still not sure how I feel about Maxim. He's an odd character, but considering what has happened, I guess it's to be expected. And Mrs Danvers... 😡

There's plenty of twists and turns and if you haven't watched any of the movies yet, I recommend reading the book first!
