Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, Vol. 1 by Brian Michael Bendis

5.0

I've seen Miles in several other things and thought he came off very endearing and true to the Spider-Man legacy. However, I just now read his origin story and I absolutely loved it! It was so sad to see the end of Ultimate Peter Parker but they put Miles into his superhero role in a way that is extremely respectful of Peter. The way Miles deals with discovering his powers is very fresh and humble.

I'm absolutely hooked and I can't wait to read more. Bendis really knocks it out of the park with this one and Pichelli has proven to me that she's still one of my favorite artists.
