I haven't felt this frustrated reading a book in like a year. If you look for plot when reading, this probably isn't for you. So many things were either absolutely pointless or could've been shortened/simplified. The parts of the book that were interesting were completely overshadowed by how poorly executed they were. The FMC is lauded for being independent and such, but she is almost always saved by the MMC. I hardly ever knew what anyone's motives were because everyone constantly lied or kept secrets, or it just happened off-page. The concept had potential, but my expectations were not met.

The spice, on the other hand, which is probably what most people read this book for anyway, was pretty alright. There are lots of it, I believe I counted 10 separate scenes by the time I got about 120 pages in, and there are many more after the fact. It delves into some interesting kinks, although the usage of which got really repetitive. Also, for an ass guy, anal only really happens once throughout the book.
