I have such mixed feelings about this. The chemistry and overall vibe was like a solid 8/10. But the side plot, side plotted a little too close to the sun. Believe it or not I do like plot in my romance novels, but this was too much, or too rushed, or something that didn't sit right with me.
I feel bad rating it low when I liked the core couple so much but when so much time was wasted on this curse in the finale (which should've been spent on relationship development) while so much of the middle ignored the plot, it feels disjointed. I think the pacing really hurt this book.
This has a fun energy that I really liked. It is extremely corny and borderline cringey, but I don't hate my romance novels like that. Major Ali Hazelwood vibes IMO.
Also I think men with weird names saying cariad with a welsh accent is a necessity moving forward (I'm looking at you Sel).
