The Bookshop on Rosemary Lane by Ellen Berry

4.0

The bookshop mentioned in the title of this book doesn't actually feature as heavily as I had assumed it would. Instead the story we get is one which builds up slowly towards said bookshop.

I loved the fact that Della was such a determined character from the very start. She knew she wanted to do something major with her late mothers cookbooks, and she stuck by that from the word go. Even when she finds herself badly let down by members of her own family, she plows on faithfully towards her end goal.

The story held my attention throughout and the characters were all written very well. I thoroughly enjoyed the read and am interested to see where the author takes the series next, this being the first in a trilogy apparently.

Many thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review.
