He Who Drowned the World by Shelley Parker-Chan

I’m glad I picked this up even though I didn’t love the first book. It took me a while to get into and it seemed quite slow to start. (And then Christmas came along so I didn’t pick it up again until after the festivities.. and then I couldn’t put it down.)

Wonderfully written, the scene painted and feelings portrayed really made me feel it all.

There are many parts where I felt it was a little boring but the payoff at the end was worth it. The battles were great and a lot of it felt real to what would have happened in war.

What happens on the last 2% is THE best.
