The Watchers by A.M. Shine
4.0
This book starts off very slow and once we are introduced to The Watchers things do pick up in pace.
I will say that I was banging my head against a wall whenever we followed Mina’s pov at about the 50% mark of this book. She really suffers to connect dots that are shown to her multiple times (and I mean MULTIPLE times). That and the fact that Mina’s inner dialogue moves on far too quickly after a major tragedy (I am trying to avoid spoilers) - I was still mourning the events myself and she seemed rather over it, and it felt out of character for any decent human being. I knocked off a star for these two reasons.
I still found the book to be interesting and would recommend it. Looking forward to the sequel.
