This anthology is something else. While the foreword explains it, the lack of editing during some of the stories did cause some difficulties for me to be fully immersed.

On the positive side, the rawness of the stories and the variety of different writers (for some, this is the only published work I could find) really helped.

While some stories had dated racist language, there were a few POC writers featured that I'm definitely going to find more work by.

Overall, I enjoyed it. While it's not my favorite, the brutality and desperation of lesbians in the 1950s-70s many of these writers captured in short stories/poems makes it worth at least one read through.
