Feebleminded by Ariana Harwicz

2.0

In wild stream of consciousness narration, Harwicz explores desire, need and dependency through the dynamics of an utterly dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship, and describes scenes of excrement, filth and depravity.

This is a difficult, uncomfortable, and challenging read about transgression, breaking conventions and pushing boundaries, and whilst I can see the power in it and admired the stunning translation, it wasn't for me.
