Girl, what?????
Enough with the very tired damsel-in-distress trope. Enough with the “longtime rivals” trope, especially considering that is far from the truth in this novella. Enough with the “massive man, tiny baby girl” trope. I found myself skimming the pages, hoping for any semblance of a unique plot.
Ian was cute. Likable, even. But the lack of chemistry between him and Hannah from the beginning was… ugh (again, it’s a novella so, yes it’s hard to establish but maybe don’t have them awkwardly make out upon first meeting??)
I give up. Idk what else to say. Very mediocre.
