I liked this story, a story about stories and why they are important, and I enjoyed that there was an ensemble of characters. However, unlike Chamber’s previous “A Close and Common Orbit”, I found the characters less interesting and relatable. I also found the stakes pretty low throughout the different character stories and their interwoven stories, so if you’re big on high stakes plot, this may not be the book for you.
