Notes on an Execution by Danya Kukafka

dark reflective sad medium-paced
  • Diverse cast of characters? Yes
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

I was genuinely surprised by how much I ended up enjoying this book. Usually I'm not massively into litfic, but something about this one just had me hooked. I loved how it was split in past and current day, how the past was told from the girls' perspectives and the current was Ansel. And then watching it all come together at the end during the final moments.
