Confessions by Kanae Minato

Left with my mouth hanging open.
As someone who a) doesn’t read books of this genre* and b) reads very slowly, I was captivated and finished it all in one day. (*not sure how I would categorize this: crime, mystery, psychological thriller?)
I literally said “what?!” out loud when the first twist came, and things just kept getting more convoluted. Told from multiple perspectives, the reader is fed pieces of a revenge pie only to throw it all back up and finally see how complex and horrifying it was.
Would definitely recommend even if it doesn’t seem up your alley.
