Chambers managed to enchant me once again. Her books aren‘t like those space adventures that constantly hold you on the edge of your seat.
Chambers explores individual people as well as societies in a calmer environment that feels like a cosy version of real life, even when bad things happen.
One of her characters in this book - who is also one of the only aliens in this installment- is an anthropologist and I think that is what Chambers is as well. An anthropologist of the cultures she created herself.
