Phenomenal setting by the sea. Immaculate vibes and it made me nostalgic for times and places I haven’t been. Also, this line: “Because, just as it is in Malibu’s nature to burn, so it was one particular person’s nature to set fire and walk away.”. There was this impending sense of doom from the beginning, and I loved it. I just wanted the best for all the characters, except for the cheating tennis man whom we shall not name. Some of the POVs felt a little unnecessary towards the end but I guess they added some cool little details here and there. Overall just a really really good book.
