I really enjoyed this book, the tension that builds made it hard for me to put the book down. However, I think the author underestimates the intelligence of the reader, I would of liked more subtlety or ambiguity. The end letter felt way too long with an explanation for everything to make it look like verity is innocent. This is the reason I can't give the book 5 stars, it feels like the author is explaining every part of the book because she doesn't think we can understand it ourselves. I think if she wrote a shorter letter that inferred her innocence, the ambiguity that is intended in the ending would have had alot more impact. Overall, it's a good read with mystery that leaves you wanting more.
