fuck EVERYONE who called this book useless torture porn !!!!! yes this is one of the most difficult things I have ever read and it’s insanely heavy but it is also one of the most beautiful, raw, poignant fleshed out novels I have picked up. every single character was so complex that I had real, visceral emotions towards them and deeply cared about what happened to them or hated them for what they did. I am in awe and shock at the mere feat this book accomplishes and I’m SO glad I got over my fear and picked it up. devastatingly beautiful.
