My first Brandon Sanderson and I have to say I really enjoyed myself! As a relative newcomer to adult fantasy, I wasn’t as gripped as I am perhaps with a different genre, but even as someone who doesn’t seek out action/adventure-heavy books I was able to get into the world and the story easily. I think that’s due to the engaging narration, it felt humorous and unique and made the delivery of world-building information feel much more effortless.
The twist at the end I kind of suspected but I was still so shocked my jaw DROPPED.
A very satisfying read!
Can’t wait to read more from Brandon Sanderson!
