Lucky, Dimitri and Dagon’s story has been building over the course of the other three books, so I was excited to get here. Unfortunately this one suffers a bit because there’s a lot of plot to wrap up, so the actual mating and falling in love almost feels like more of an afterthought - once Lucky is in (which is pretty fast), he’s all in, and
they mate before he even decides he’s in love with them
. I did really enjoy seeing the found family dynamic continue to grow - there’s a very fun birthday party and cal and Oscar (still my faves) get lots of screen time, which is fun!

This series absolutely should be read in order and are NOT standalones. Don’t make the mistake I made by reading Patience first. Start at the beginning!
