I had high hopes for "Cabin at the End of the World", but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. While it started out strong and had a promising premise, I found myself quickly losing interest due to the overly detailed and drawn-out descriptions of the characters and setting. I kept waiting for these descriptive passages to become important, but unfortunately, they never did.

The saving grace of the book was the "what's the truth here" aspect, which kept me engaged until the end. However, overall, I found it underwhelming and was left feeling disappointed. If it weren't for the book's short length, I likely would have given up on it altogether.
