Killer Chef by James Patterson
1.0
Someone is killing chefs and the cop who is also a chef needs to solve the crime.
There are some major issues here, it does feel like a cheap imitation of the UK TV series Pie in the Sky, all be it with an American lead character, and so he is much more rugged and not the old shall we say rotund geezer the UK has int the show.
the other is that this geezer is not actually a chef, he works in a food van making what the Americans call sandwiches, I assume it is hamburgers, and french fries. That is not a chef - it is a burger flipper. They might be decent but he is still not a chef.
I couldn't get past this - every time the book mentioned he was a chef (and that was many, many times) I would say nope mot a chef.
Anyway apart from those two things. the plot was lame and the ending lamer still.
