As I was checking in books at the library, the shiny new cover caught my eye, and I was able to check it out as there were no holds. Summit Lake turned out to be Donlea's debut novel, and for the next few days I was gripped by the story. I enjoyed the story, but did find it a bit predictable in the end and at times dragged a bit. The writing and story was promising, so I would absolutely read another novel by Donlea.
