Something That Could Last by Ashley Cade, Stacy Sanford

2.0

I really went into this book because of its lovely cover and the description. However, I was disappointed by most of the book.
It started off well, and it ends well. The middle is what let me down. The book could have done without a lot of the recurring circumstances or they could have been dealt with in a better manner. It was just like reading the same thing again and again.
The last 10% of the book is, in comparison, great. It made me want to pick up the next instalment in this series. (Although I must admit to being in two minds about it.)
The only lovable characters are Ethan and Abby's, grandmother. The four characters - Abby, Jacob, Luke and Tiff - are all old enough to be in college, yet they come across as very immature. Then there is constant annoying sex talk (and the sex). I know it is a part of the book, but in this day and age, I doubt any woman, no matter how old, would respect being spoken to/off in this manner. It almost goes on like a very cliched version of 50 shades. But the cliff hanger in the end makes you want to read the next book in the series.
Not much to recommend, though.
