This book is more about spending time with the characters aka our protagonist Marnie as she stumbles her way through life and love.
The first half not much was happening except her judgement of others and entertaining an unavailable man through a friendship.
Shes a serial dater who morphs herself into the ideal woman for whoever she is with.
It wasnt until the second half of the book where things became more interesting with her internal dialogue and self discovery.
This is where the book split for me as the author seemed to take much more time carefully placing her sentences together and weaving in beautiful descriptive writing about how you feel when youre world is falling apart and you have to find the spark to rebuild yourself again.
