I wasn’t as enraptured by this one as the first book, but it was still a masterful mystery. I loved seeing a darker side to Pip—her character is so devastatingly real and every facet of her emotion is 100% believable to me. As an actor, I’d LOVE to play a character like this, someone with a scarily wide range of emotions to explore.
Graphic: Bullying, Death, Gun violence, Grief, and Murder
Moderate: Child death, Drug use, Rape, Sexual assault, Car accident, and Fire/Fire injury
