Wow wow wow! I'm ashamed to say I didn't read this sooner. I sometimes struggle with books written in verse but I listened to this on Scribd and it was wonderful.
The narrator brought the emotions out so clearly, I was laughing and crying right along with X.
The book explores race, gender, sexuality, spirituality and family with words that are so beautiful, I can not do them justice.
Please read this book.
