This was a great read - it's so nice to read a fantasy book with dragons in it! I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between Violet and the MMC develop.
I did have a mini-stroke reading the ridiculous they/them character description, and it probably hurt the author too as after she introduced the 'non-binary' character, she always made sure to only refer to it when also talking about another character so she could use they/them in proper grammatical context.
Aside from the obvious pandering, there were a lot of great side characters and overall this book was just a fun read. Looking forward to the sequel
