I can see the reasons why this won't work for everyone. It's very quiet and understated, yet powerful. The characters felt like real people to me- and a lot of readers will have problems with their particular imperfections, especially Rosie. But this is the kind of love story that had me completely entranced from beginning to end. It was an emotional roller coaster. I'm still a bit windswept and woozy from the ride, but completely satisfied.
