After You by Jojo Moyes

3.0

“You don't have to let that one thing be the thing that defines you.”

I absolutely loved Me before you, but the sequel( looks more like a fan-fiction ) was not strong enough, or probably it wasn't really needed.

This is Lou's life after Will. It has been an year and half after Will's death and Lou is still not over him. She has taken up travelling and tried to have an adventure of her own as Will would have wanted. But now she is back to her mundane life, back to working at a boring pub.

As she is desperately trying to live a new life, joining support groups, living in a new home and doing everything to get over Will's death, a girl knocks on her door. This girl says she is related to Will. This is the story of how this new girl and Lou help each other in cleaning each other's mess and moving on in life.

There is also a new love interest in Louisa's life but there is not much of chemistry here.

"I'm a good Catholic girl, Louisa. We don't divorce. We just make our men suffer for all eternity."
