The Blackest Heart by Brian Lee Durfee

adventurous challenging dark emotional mysterious medium-paced

4.0

Lots of POVs, fantastic action scenes, lots of plots, lots of interweaving of characters, suspense, intrigue and a fantastic ending. The descriptions are so well done that I can actually visualize the scenes. Has me continuously guessing as to who are the true Warrior Angel's. Sometimes I think I got it figured out, other times I'm no longer so sure - lots of fun.
Gave it 4 stars because I found it long at times and started reading a second book. There were also a lot of modern day references during the first half which I found distracting. Didn't notice it so much during the second half, or I just got used to them.
