Not quite as revelatory as The Interrogative Mood, but not far off. Powell is an incredibly funny writer. The book consists entirely of two unnamed curmudgeons blabbering away to each other. Either you will love that or you won't. I adored it. It is full of dazzling, sad, ridiculous, wonderful sentences that capture the feeling of living in the modern world.
