I don’t know how to review this book without spoiling Wolfsong. So spoilers ahead!

Ravensong takes place mostly a year after Wolfsong. You do get a little bit of what happened before the previous book and what happened during the three year interlude in the last book, but primarily this is a continuation of the story and showing where the character are now and how they continue to evolve.

Because of this, Ravensong is not a falling in love story like Wolfsong, it’s a story of second chances and letting go instead so that the characters can finally be happy. So if you’re a fan of the previous book and you like second chance romances, you’ll like this one.

As far as plot goes, the story of the Omegas is interesting, and unfinished. The characters are better off than they were in the last act, but there are still problems.  Because of this, Wolfsong feels like it could be a standalone book while Ravensong is a set up for the remaining two stories.

Having said that though, you really get to know the human characters more in this book. They’re a hilarious and fun group, and I found myself looking forward to those interactions more. Robbie, while a good character in the first book begins to shine here, with Rico being the overall breakout star.

Overall, if you liked the previous book, want to hear more from the characters and are okay with continuing to jump into the rest of the series, you’ll like this book!
