oh i'm not a fan ... which is unfortunate because i recognize the feminist themes the book is trying to speak about. however, i couldn't connect with karolina because the writing is mediocre and the pacing is atrocious. it's slow in an incredibly frustrating way where you just feel like nothing is happening and you can't feel anything for the story except confusion. i suppose the writing style might not be the author's fault, it could very well be the translation, because there were a few quotes i really really liked.
