I’ve learned that this sort of novel is really never going to surpass a 3-ish star rating, but that’s okay. I like a nice easy romance novel to break a reading slump sometimes. This book has some fun (although predictable) twists and misdirections. I found supporting cast to be lacking and motivations didn’t necessarily make sense for all those characters. Sadie’s self pity did get on my nerves at times but I generally sympathized. I just wish she didn’t get put through the wringer for a lighthearted story.
