I knew absolutely nothing about this book before reading it except that I loved the cover of it and I saw a few people recommending it in various reviews on the internet. I love going into books blind because I always end up surprised in the best way possible. So far, anyways, fingers crossed it stays that way.

I really enjoyed the relationship in this one. I loved the relationship they had before anything started happening because it was a strong friendship, a connection you don’t find often. And the way Farley bonded with Hazel and knew sign language was meant to be. I also enjoyed the fact that they both were secretly in love with each other the whole time. I love when it isn’t once sided. It’s so much more fun that way.

And when each of them is secretly in love with the other, there is pinning, there is flirting and longing and restraint. Of course fake dating is the best way to end the charade and bring out the confessions. A classic method of bringing out those feelings.

I loved the stand up part of it too. The fact that they were both comedians and seeing a bit into that world was fun. It held my interest the whole time and was a unique concept I hadn’t seen before!

I also love when a good epilogue wraps it up so nicely at the end. Always a bonus.
