Bad Weekend by Ed Brubaker

2.0

This was a quick read. My issue was they had to do so much exposition to set up who are the characters were and their backgrounds. We only have 80 pages of story that’s valuable real estate. I think the other issues I’ve seen this story before of the bitter comic Creator dealing with the ramifications of being screwed and just feeling bitter about it. And his young protégé, having to deal with those feelings. It just felt like I was just watching someone in a sorry state, basically be angry and better and that’s a common character in Brubaker books, but usually they’re dealing with an external threat or an external issue, which isn’t really here. It didn’t really grab my attention
