I absolutely LOVED this book! It was so well-written; I'm still gob smacked and I finished it 14 hours ago. I love how it expanded so much on Jyn and Cassian; you get to know them so well, and as an all time Cassian fan, of course I loved it. Specifically, the way Freed wrote the cave in Jyn's mind sealed by a hatch is just so pretty.

I started this book after not watching the movie in four years, wishing to be pleasantly surprised. (and I recently finished Andor and am now obsessed)  I was surprised by the plot, and how well-done it was. I was also pleasantly surprised with how well the flow of the story goes and was reminded that however excellent movies are, books can tell a part of the story that movies cannot. The way you really get inside the character's heads; not even just the protagonists, but the antagonists as well, was just so beautiful and it made the story much more emotional. If you're a Star Wars/Andor fan, I highly recommend it.
