They Disappeared by Joy Ellis

4.0

3.5 I'm a huge fan of Ellis' Jackman & Evans series. This book is solid, good, though less than the previous title in the series, The Patient Man (which was plot- and story-driven). They Disappeared is character-driven, a real strength of Ellis, but tying the threads together was a bit predictable, a bit clumsy. That said, time with Jackman & Evans and their team is always time well spent and oddly heart-warming. Recommended (read this series in order)
