the most enjoyable part of this for me was learning all the things that went into the original authors life and build up to actually creating the novella that came to be inspiration for the thing (one of my favourite films ever) but i really struggled getting through the actual story as i felt it dragged a bit and the tension it builds is never really relieved in an enjoyable way for the reader
