Lost in the Never Woods by Aiden Thomas

4.0

It's been five years since Wendy and her brothers disappeared in the woods. Her brothers did not return when she did without any memories of the 6 months they were gone. But when the town's children start disappearing and a boy named Peter who Wendy thought wasn't real comes into town she starts to second guess everything. As more is revealed Wendy realizes that the only way to get answers about the missing kids and her own past is to go into the Never Woods.

This book wasn't as good as Cemetery Boys; I think it dragged a little in between finding Peter and getting to Wendy's memories being unlocked. I enjoyed the focus on the real origin of Peter Pan along with Disney's version of the story and I love Aiden Thomas but this was just okay for me. It could also be that Peter Pan is not a favorite. Still a good recommendation for someone who likes fairy tale retellings. (3.5 stars/5 stars)
